OpenAI co-founder, Greg Brockman, says "we too are still trying to figure out exactly what happened" after abruptly being removed from the board.
Hours before he said this, Sam Altman was fired as the CEO of OpenAI.
Brockman said that he and Sam Altman were both removed from their rolls within 25 minutes.
It supposedly happened over a last second Google Meets call.
Ironically, they were fired using a Google platform, the company that OpenAI was created to target.
This entire situation is incredibly strange.
Sam Altman just posted what seems to be a threat against the board.
It appears that both Altman and Brockman were blindsided today.
As two of the most prominent leaders in AI, this will certainly have a lasting impact on the industry.
